Hungry Pest Terror Campaign

Has anybody heard much about the Hungry Pests Coalition? I've seen this commercial on TV, and you can find more of them on YouTube, and more details on their Website:

I appreciate their efforts to reduce imports and exports of invasive pests, but think there are better ways that don't require pesticides, such as supporting local farming, and reducing massive shipments of food across the globe. Most food travels over 1,500 miles from farm to fork...
